Supporting Our Magnificent Music Makers

The musicians of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra have come from around the globe to make exceptional music for us here in North Texas. Having received training at some of the most prestigious conservatories and institutions with some of the world's most notable instructors, they are performers, teachers, artists, parents, grandparents, volunteers, community leaders, neighbors and friends.

As part of the recently launched $100 million campaign, Your DSO — Excite, Inspire, Engage, the Dallas Symphony is undertaking an exciting effort to connect its supporters directly with its musicians in a meaningful and powerful way: by offering them the opportunity to name an orchestra chair.

A number of DSO musicians' positions have already been named in honor of individuals who have made endowment gifts to the Dallas Symphony Foundation in support of the great music that we enjoy in the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and beyond.

As is the case with many major orchestras, named positions are limited to principal chairs. However, during the Your DSO Campaign, we have committed to naming every position in the orchestra. The success of this effort will continue to position the DSO as an industry leader, as well as preserve and grow its artistic quality and celebrate the talent we enjoy.

This is a terrific chance for you to support the incredible artistry of the Dallas Symphony while building a relationship with a musician and enjoying one-on-one experiences with them, such as gatherings in your home for pre- or post-concert dinners. And recognition of your support will afford the sense of honor and pride that comes with partnering with a leading arts organization. In addition to furthering the orchestra's artistic momentum and strength, you will also be inspiring the musicians themselves by reaffirming this community's commitment to our DSO.

Opportunities for naming a chair for up to 20 years start at $150,000 and can be fulfilled through several vehicles, including commitments paid out in the short term or through a planned gift from your estate.
